๐Ÿ•’ Update at 21:49 – 08.10.26

Car 25 looking right at home under lights tonight ๐Ÿ‘Œ Great to see Adam Rath and James Thornburn out there in the Subaru WRX, threading the tarmac course while we wait for the final results to drop.

Presentation coming up shortly, so stay tuned ๐Ÿ‘€๐Ÿ

๐Ÿ•’ Update at 21:40 – 08.10.26

Thereโ€™s no better place for a GR Yaris than a tarmac sprint course ๐Ÿ˜ฎโ€๐Ÿ’จ

Car 23, Richard Payne / Avril Payne, looking properly at home under lights at TSS. Clean, tidy, and ready to get to work on the Sydney Dragway and D2 combo. ๐Ÿ‘Œ

๐Ÿ•’ Update at 21:35 – 08.10.26

Car 12 Peter Dunn is right in the groove tonight in the Subaru Impreza Spec C, putting together some good times and still finding time to put on a bit of a show for the cameras ๐Ÿ“ธ

That is what Tarmac Sprint is all about. One car at a time, threading the needle between speed and precision, and Dunn looks to be enjoying both sides of the job around Sydney Dragway and the D2 course.

Neat, quick, and just sideways enough to keep everyone awake ๐Ÿ‘Œ

๐Ÿ•’ Update at 21:20 – 08.10.26

Car 32 out there enjoying the night shift at TSS ๐Ÿš—๐Ÿ’จ

Alex Deldari and Rihanna Jamalbafrani putting the Ford Fiesta to work on the Sydney Dragway and D2 combo, with plenty of hustle and a fair bit of fun by the look of it.

๐Ÿ•’ Update at 20:58 – 08.10.26

Car 2 is properly on it tonight ๐Ÿ‘€

Lance Arundel in the Subaru WRX STI has just punched out a 2:41.6190 on run 4 at TSS. Fast hands, tidy lines, and the silver Subie looking very serious under lights ๐Ÿ”ฅ

๐Ÿ•’ Update at 20:38 – 08.10.26

Car 26 always turns heads, and Etienne Proust / Theo Verhoevenโ€™s Jaguar XJ6 is doing exactly that again tonight at TSS. Looking tough under lights, sounding like it means business, and proving once more that the regulars know how to bring a proper beast to the 2026/27 Pro Speed Tarmac Sprint Series ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ”ฅ

In a field full of quick machinery, this big Jag brings its own kind of presence. Old-school cool with plenty of attitude.

๐Ÿ•’ Update at 20:01 – 08.10.26

Lance Arundel in car #2 is definitely not here to cruise around and admire the lights ๐Ÿ‘€

The Subaru WRX STI is on the charge tonight at TSS, and the big question is whether Arundel can reel in Phil Heafey before the night is out. He is certainly giving it a proper crack. ๐Ÿ”ฅ

Game on in the 2026/27 Pro Speed Tarmac Sprint Series.

๐Ÿ•’ Update at 19:54 – 08.10.26

Not just Evos, WRXs and hot hatches lighting up Round 1 ๐Ÿ‘€

Yes, Can-Am machines can run in the 2026/27 Pro Speed Tarmac Sprint Series, and this one was out there tonight stretching its legs on the Sydney Dragway and D2 tarmac. Different shape, same job: get around 4.5km of speed and technical sections as neatly and quickly as possible.

Big thanks to our event partners at 4K Noble Sea-Doo and Can-Am for being on deck for the opener ๐Ÿ™Œ

The Tarmac Sprint field always brings variety, and that is part of the fun. One minute it is a rally-style 4WD, the next it is a purpose-built machine like this grabbing everyoneโ€™s attention under lights.

๐Ÿ•’ Update at 19:47 – 08.10.26

Run 2 times are rolling in at TSS and Phil Heafey is still the benchmark in the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI with a 2:42.3840 ๐Ÿ”ฅ

Lance Arundel sits provisionally second on 2:44.4240 in the Subaru WRX STI, with Stephen Marlin third so far on 2:45.7590 in the Mitsubishi Evo IX.

Plenty still to play out, but the front end of the field isnโ€™t mucking around tonight. โฑ๏ธ

๐Ÿ•’ Update at 19:34 – 08.10.26

How good is this? Car 3, Rob Withers, out on Run 1 in the Yacar Cross Kart at TSS ๐Ÿ‘Œ

Great to finally see a cross kart in the 2026/27 Pro Speed Tarmac Sprint Series. With collaboration with Motorsport Australia, a track solution was worked through to open the door for these little weapons, and they look right at home on the tarmac too ๐Ÿš€

More of this please.

๐Ÿ•’ Update at 19:28 – 08.10.26

Run 1 is in the books at TSS and thereโ€™s already a proper spread across the top ten ๐Ÿ‘€

Phil Heafey and Joshua Williams have struck first in the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI with a 2:44.2, leading the early provisional order from Lance Arundel and Luke Job in the Subaru WRX STI on 2:45.8.

Stephen Marlin and Sean Casey sit third in the Mitsubishi Evo IX with 2:51.5, but one of the big talking points after the first hit is Rob Withers. The Yacar Cross Kart stops the clocks at 2:55.5 for fourth outright on run 1, and as the first cross kart allowed to run this event, thatโ€™s a seriously impressive opening statement ๐Ÿš€

Rounding out the provisional top ten after run 1:
5th Mark Robinson / Endah Chairi, Mercedes A-Class W177, 2:56.5
6th Tom Donohue / Adam Rath, Mitsubishi Evo 10, 2:57.5
7th Maxwell Callaway / Samuel Mayer, Toyota GR Yaris, 3:01.6
8th Casimir Skillecorn / David Yates, Toyota GR Yaris, 3:03.6
9th David Yates / Casimir Skillecorn, Toyota GR Yaris, 3:04.1
10th Peter Dunn / Andrew McDonnell, Subaru Impreza Spec C, 3:04.8

Plenty of variety already at the pointy end, and the stopwatch is only just warming up. #TSS #ProSpeedTarmacSprintSeries #RallyNSW #TarmacSprint

๐Ÿ•’ Update at 19:22 – 08.10.26

Sunset, lights on, and car 9 is still properly getting after it ๐ŸŒ…๐Ÿ’จ

Lee Weng Gohโ€™s Mitsubishi Evo 8 charges through run 2 at TSS, making the most of the mixed Sydney Dragway and D2 layout where straight-line speed only gets you so far. The braking zones and direction changes are where the stopwatch really starts asking the hard questions.

Looks calm in the photo. Reckon the onboard story would be a bit louder. ๐Ÿ˜…

๐Ÿ•’ Update at 19:15 – 08.10.26

Car 5 was on it at TSS ๐Ÿ‘Œ

Stephen Marlin in the Mitsubishi Evo IX punches in a strong 2:45.759 on run 2, looking tidy and hooked up across the tarmac. When the stopwatch is the only thing youโ€™re racing, neat and committed is the recipe.

That silver Evo still knows how to make a point ๐Ÿ“ธ

๐Ÿ•’ Update at 19:00 – 08.10.26

Love this sight out on course at TSS ๐Ÿ‘Œ

Car 14, the Ford Escort of Jim Hull and Adam Morris, bringing a proper bit of classic rally flavour to the 2026/27 Pro Speed Tarmac Sprint Series. While the Evos and WRXs are doing their thing, there is always something special about an old Escort being hustled around a technical bit of tarmac. Lightweight, sharp and still looking right at home with the spotlights up front too ๐Ÿ˜

Great to see the classics mixing it with the field at Sydney Dragway tonight.

๐Ÿ•’ Update at 18:47 – 08.10.26

Car 10 on the move in Run 1 at TSS, with James Keene / Daniel Cunningham hustling the Volkswagen Golf R32 through the Sydney Dragway and D2 mix ๐Ÿ“ธ

That 4.5km layout is all about getting the braking and direction change right, and the Golf looks properly pinned here. No side by side racing tonight, just you, the clock, and not much room for wasted motion.

#TSS #ProSpeedTarmacSprint #NSSCC #RallySprint #MotorsportAustralia

๐Ÿ•’ Update at 18:43 – 08.10.26

Car 17 out on run 1 and looking properly on it ๐Ÿ‘Œ

Morgan Skelton and Ben Binskinโ€™s Peugeot 206 GTI 180 is making the most of the 2026/27 Pro Speed Tarmac Sprint Series layout, with the little Pug looking right at home as the course swings from dragstrip speed into the technical stuff. That is what TSS is all about, getting the braking, balance and commitment stitched together lap after lap.

And letโ€™s be honest, a 206 GTI in full flight always adds a bit of spice to the field ๐Ÿ”ฅ

๐Ÿ•’ Update at 18:36 – 08.10.26

Phil Heafey has come out absolutely flying in the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI, putting car #1 on top of run one with a blistering 2:44.235 ๐Ÿš€

The red Evo looks properly hooked up in the twilight, and that early benchmark matters on a 4.5km TSS course where precision under brakes and clean exits can make or break a run.

Lance Arundel is right there in second after run one in the Subaru WRX STI with a 2:45.806, so this one is already shaping up nicely at the front.

Provisional top two after run one:
1. Phil Heafey 2:44.235
2. Lance Arundel 2:45.806

Plenty more clock to fight yet, but Heafey has thrown down the gauntlet early. #TarmacSprint #ProSpeedTarmacSprintSeries #NSSCC #RallyAustralia

๐Ÿ•’ Update at 18:18 – 08.10.26

Course check is done and dusted, and Car 0 has done it in style ๐Ÿ‘Œ

The 2026/27 Pro Speed Tarmac Sprint Series is just about ready to fire at Sydney Dragway, with the field set to take on the 4.5km mix of dragstrip speed and D2 car park precision. Game faces on now. โฑ๏ธ

๐Ÿ•’ Update at 17:57 – 08.10.26

Plenty of smiles in the paddock as Round 1 of the 2026/27 Pro Speed Tarmac Sprint Series gets rolling ๐Ÿ˜Ž

The field is currently checking out the 4.5km Sydney Dragway and D2 layout before the timed runs begin, getting their eye in for a course that mixes big speed with the sort of technical bits that can bite if you get greedy.

For now it is all about notes, braking points and remembering where not to be a hero too early. Game faces soon. For the moment, good vibes in service. ๐Ÿ‘Œ

๐Ÿ•’ Update at 17:37 – 08.10.26

Thirty minutes to go at TSS and Clerk of Course Tony Adams is on the mic for the drivers briefing, making sure the field is switched on before the first timed runs begin ๐ŸŽคโฑ๏ธ

The calm before the storm at the 2026/27 Pro Speed Tarmac Sprint Series, with the Sydney Dragway and D2 course about to go from briefing notes to braking markers in a hurry. This is where the reminders matter, because once the helmets go on itโ€™s all about precision, commitment and keeping it tidy against the clock.

Big night ahead. Stay with us as the action unfolds.

๐Ÿ•’ Update at 16:42 – 08.10.26

The first battle of the night at TSS is already on, and itโ€™s happening at the secretariat desk ๐Ÿ˜„

Crews are getting the paperwork sorted, wristbands on, and the final details locked in before the 2026/27 Pro Speed Tarmac Sprint Series fires up. Before the stopwatches start on the Sydney Dragway and D2 layout, this is where tonightโ€™s run really begins.

Plenty of familiar faces filtering through, plenty of checklists getting ticked off, and yes, the admin line is always a test of patience before the test of precision. Next stop, helmets on and into the 4.5 km course. ๐Ÿ

Big shoutout to the officials and volunteers keeping everything moving behind the scenes.

๐Ÿ•’ Update at 16:39 – 08.10.26

Scrutineering is in full swing at TSS, and the queue is looking properly tasty already ๐Ÿ‘Œ

Plenty of machinery lining up before the clocks start on the 4.5km Sydney Dragway and D2 course, with this Mitsubishi Evo getting the full once-over from officials. Bonnet up, checklist out, game face on. Exactly how a tarmac sprint night should start.

From Evos and WRXs to GR Yarises, BRZs, Escorts, Peugeots and even the Yacar Cross Kart, the field has that classic TSS mix where you never quite know what will roll into scrutiny next ๐Ÿ˜„

Big shoutout to the officials and volunteers getting everyone through and ready to run.

๐Ÿ•’ Update at 16:33 – 08.10.26

A fresh season and a fresh look for the 2026/27 Pro Speed Tarmac Sprint Series ๐Ÿ‘Œ

The new partner wall is up and it tells the story pretty well. Pro Speed leads the charge, backed by a strong crew including Hoosier Tire Australia, Shannons Insurance, Premier Pools, Griptech, Racer Industries, Noble Sea-Doo & Can-Am, Uni Filter, BG, Trans Vent, MSCN Motorsport Connections, Motorsport Australia and Sydney Dragway.

It takes more than throttle and bravery to get a sprint series rolling. Thereโ€™s a lot of support behind the scenes before the first car even hits the 4.5km course, and this lot is helping make it happen.

Looks sharp too. Not bad for a sign that canโ€™t trail brake ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ

๐Ÿ•’ Update at 13:46 – 08.10.26

Todayโ€™s the day! ๐Ÿ”ฅ

The 2026/27 Pro Speed Tarmac Sprint Series kicks off this afternoon at Sydney Dragway. Tight tarmac, plenty of grunt, and absolutely no time to be lazy on turn-in.

Round 1 of TSS will be underway soon, and weโ€™re in for a very lively one ๐Ÿ‘€
