๐ Update at 22:14 – 22.08.26
ECCRS done and dusted at Ada River Rally, and the gravel delivered the goods ๐
Jake Bramble and Phillip Bonser took the ECCRS 4WD win in their Nissan with a total time of 1:56:15.0 ๐
Luke Sytema and Renee Sytema claimed the ECCRS 2WD win in their Ford Escort, stopping the clocks at 2:00:51.1 ๐๐จ
Also in the mix on the provisional classification were Dennis Stanford and Luke Stanford in second 4WD, plus Michael Chora and Rachael Ferrante finishing just behind the Stanford team.
Ada doing Ada things, fast roads, long day, and a leaderboard with plenty happening ๐

๐ Update at 22:06 – 22.08.26
Ada is done and dusted, and Richie Dalton and Mac Kierans have absolutely cleaned up ๐
The Toyota Yaris GR crew took the Ada River Rally win and swept all three NSWRC heats for maximum points. That is the kind of day that really shakes up a title fight.
Josh Redhead and Ray Winwood-Smith fought through earlier penalties to finish second outright in the NSW results, while Jake Bramble and Phillip Bonser rounded out the podium in third. Tony Sullens and Julia Barkley bagged valuable points in fourth.
Fast in the dark, fast in the gravel, fast pretty much everywhere by the look of it ๐ฅ

๐ Update at 18:30 – 22.08.26
Michael Chora getting properly stuck into SS6 at Ada ๐
Sitting eighth in the NSW standings, Chora is hanging in there and making the most of the rally. Just getting through the forests around Noojee cleanly is half the battle… and the other half is probably keeping the mud on the outside ๐

๐ Update at 17:52 – 22.08.26
NSW crews are lined up at regroup and set to roll into Heat 3 at Ada ๐
The final two stages are still to come, the temperature is dropping, and the light is going with it. Proper rally conditions now ๐ซ๏ธ๐
With 75 NSWRC points on offer across the three heats and a tight title fight headed by Sullens, Dalton, Redhead, Stanford and OโMalley, these last kilometres could really shake things up.
Good luck to everyone heading back into the forests around Noojee. Keep it tidy… or at least tidier than last weekend ๐

๐ Update at 17:28 – 22.08.26
Back in the fight at Ada ๐ช
After Heat 1 mechanical dramas, Dennis Stanford and Luke Stanford got their Subaru through Heat 2 and banked fifth in NSWRC, plus second in ECCRS 4WD. On a day where just getting to the end of a heat is half the battle, that is a handy recovery job through the Noojee gravel ๐
With 75 NSWRC points on offer across the day, every heat matters and the Stanfords have kept themselves in the conversation.

๐ Update at 17:13 – 22.08.26
Tony Sullens and Julia Barkley came to Ada River Rally as the NSWRC points leaders. Sullens has moved to third in the Ada Heat 2 results, still banking valuable points, but Richie Dalton and Mac Kierans have gone perfect so far with full points from the first two heats.
In a round with 75 points on offer, that is the sort of swing that can turn the championship on its head in a hurry ๐
With only a small NSWRC field and one heat still to come, Ada is doing exactly what Ada does… making life difficult for everyone.

๐ Update at 17:09 – 22.08.26
Heat 2 goes to Richie Dalton and Mac Kierans at Ada River Rally ๐
Back-to-back NSWRC heat wins for the Shamrock Haulage Toyota Yaris GR, taking Heat 1 and Heat 2 and piling the pressure right into a massive 75-point day around Noojee. On a rally where every heat counts, that is proper championship damage ๐
With Tony Sullens defending the lead and Dalton arriving just 17 points back, Ada was always going to shake things up. Safe to say Heat 2 has added a bit more spice to the roadbook.

๐ Update at 16:55 – 22.08.26
State of Origin update from Ada River Rally… and the Blues are up early ๐๐
Richie Dalton and Mac Kierans have taken bragging rights in both of the opening heats, with the NSW crew getting the better of Victoriaโs Brad Luff and Jamie Luff twice from two. ๐
At a round where there are 75 NSWRC points on the table across three heats, that is a handy way to start the weekend for Dalton as he chases down championship leader Tony Sullens.
Victoria might claim home ground around Noojee… but right now NSW has brought the pace. Over to Heat 3 ๐

๐ Update at 15:54 – 22.08.26
Steady as she goes for James OโMalley and Jono Forrest at Ada ๐
At the NSWRC Classification at SS5, OโMalley sits sixth in Heat Two aboard the Toyota 86, with plenty still to play for in a rally that can really shuffle the championship order. With three heats on offer and big points up for grabs, a clean push through the back end could be worth its weight in gravel.
After banking fifth outright and first RWD at Rally of the Bay, the OโMalley crew is keeping themselves right in the fight. No fireworks needed yet, just keep the 86 pointing straight-ish and the pace coming ๐

๐ Update at 15:49 – 22.08.26
Ada is doing Ada things ๐ฎโ๐จ
After SS5 in Heat 2, a big penalty has completely shuffled the NSWRC order and Richie Dalton is now sitting clearly on top in the Toyota on 21:15.0.
Behind him itโs Jake Bramble up to second, Tony Sullens third, then Mal Hurley, Dennis Stanford, James O’Malley and Josh Redhead back to seventh.
With three heats on offer this weekend and 75 NSWRC points available, this rally was always going to shake the championship up. Safe to say itโs getting properly spicy now ๐ถ๏ธ

๐ Update at 15:37 – 22.08.26
Service park drama at Ada ๐ฌ
Josh Redhead and Ray Winwood-Smith have been hit with a 2:25 penalty after checking into regroup at the start of Heat 2, 29 minutes late, following a frantic service battle to get their Mitsubishi Evo 5 fired back into life.
That is not the sort of extra time anyone wants in a three-heat NSWRC fight.
After last weekendโs Rally Tasmania crash and now a no-start scare, Redheadโs campaign is making the crew earn every kilometre. Rallying, hey? ๐๐จ
#AdaRiverRally #NSWRC #JoshRedhead #Rallying
๐ Update at 15:03 – 22.08.26
Solid work by Josh Redhead and Ray Winwood-Smith at Ada, banking 2nd in Heat 1 and some very handy championship points ๐
After the mad scramble to get the Evo 5 back from Tasmania, patched up and ready to fight again, that is a result worth smiling about. Rallying, where sleep is optional and repairs are compulsory ๐

๐ Update at 14:50 – 22.08.26
Redhead strikes back at Ada ๐ฅ
Josh Redhead and Ray Winwood-Smith have grabbed the SS4 win on Rowley Ridge 2 with a 9:22.3 in the Mitsubishi Evo 5, edging Richie Dalton and Mac Kierans by 5.6 seconds. That is Redheadโs first stage win in the NSWRC at this event and suddenly Heat 2 has some proper spice ๐ถ๏ธ
Dalton still sits listed first outright in the NSWRC fight, but the message is clear. Redhead didnโt come to Noojee for a sightseeing tour.

๐ Update at 14:28 – 22.08.26
Heat 1 done and dusted at Ada, and itโs Richie Dalton and Mac Kierans taking the win aboard the Toyota Yaris GR ๐ช๐
With 75 NSWRC points on the table across the day, thatโs an early strike in a rally that could give the championship table a proper shake-up. No easing into this one at Noojee, straight into the fight ๐ฎโ๐จ

The whole OโMalley crew is on the tools after Heat 1, giving James OโMalley and Jono Forrestโs Toyota 86 the once-over before the next hit-out. Looks like James is settling in nicely, and with plenty still on the table in this three-heat format, Heat 2 could get very interesting ๐ง๐๐จ

Jake Bramble and Phillip Bonser back in service at Ada after a cracking run ๐
The Nissan Pulsar GTiR is wearing the Noojee gravel nicely and the crew sit third outright in the NSWRC contest and first in ECCRS 4WD. Mud on the doors, bonnet up in service, job going to plan so far ๐

Mal Hurley and Reagan Hurleyโs Subaru WRX is getting plenty of attention after an off on stage, with some serious wrenching going on to get car #6 turned around in time for Heat 2.

๐ Update at 12:44 – 22.08.26
Back into service after Heat 1 at Ada, and it is all hands on deck for Mitch Garrad and Taylah Garradโs Evo 8 ๐ง๐จ
A mechanical drama from SS1 has the boys busy under the bonnet, but the mood in service is positive and the team is confident the car will be back out for Heat 2. In a rally where every heat matters, there is no time for standing around and admiring the scenery ๐
Big effort in the service park at Noojee.

๐ Update at 12:33 – 22.08.26
HQ at the Noojee Heritage Centre is buzzing for Ada ๐
Thereโs a proper community vibe happening here with live music, great coffee at the Heritage Cafe and food from local community groups. Not a bad way to spend rally morning before the roadbook starts asking serious questions ๐

Richie Dalton and Mac Kierans are leading the way at Ada, threading the Toyota Yaris GR through some properly damp Noojee conditions ๐ง๏ธ๐ฅ
Itโs a slender lead for the NSWRC title contender, and with Josh Redhead right there in the fight, this is no time for taking a deep breath. On roads like these, grip is more rumour than fact.
With three NSWRC heats on offer today, every stage matters and Dalton is doing exactly what he needs to do so far ๐

Redhead/Winwood-Smith are second at +16.7, with Mal Hurley/Reagan Hurley third, Bramble/Bonser fourth and championship leader Sullens/Barkley rounding out the top five.
Big one this, too. With 75 NSWRC points on the table across three heats, Ada can really give the standings a proper shake-up before the night stages bite ๐

๐ Update at 12:03 – 22.08.26
James OโMalley and Jono Forrest are settling in nicely at Ada, sitting sixth in the NSWRC field after SS2 aboard the Toyota 86 ๐
After a strong run at Rally of the Bay, the 86 crew look right in the fight again and with plenty of points on offer today, every stage matters. Early days yet, but sixth after two on these Noojee roads is a tidy way to get the job started.

๐ Update at 11:18 – 22.08.26
Times are in from SS1 at Ada and Richie Dalton has come out swinging ๐
Dalton tops the early NSWRC running with a 9:17.3, but Josh Redhead is right there, just 3.9 seconds back. No easing into this one on the blind roadbook stuff ๐
Early top three after SS1:
1. R. Dalton
2. J. Redhead +3.9
3. M. Hurley +23.6
Further back, Tony Sullens sits fifth, Dennis Stanford sixth and James OโMalley seventh as this 75-point day starts to take shape. With only 10 NSWRC crews in the field, every heat matters and Ada could give the title race a serious shake-up.

๐ Update at 09:35 – 22.08.26
James O’Malley and Jono Forrest are all smiles in the Ada service park as the Toyota 86 gets set for a big Victorian debut for the crew ๐
For James, this is his first event outside NSW, and heโs not exactly complaining about a crack at the damp Victorian roads. Bold strategy? Maybe. Fun strategy? Absolutely ๐
With 75 NSWRC points on offer across the three-heat format, Ada could be a proper championship shaker, and O’Malley comes in with a chance to make some serious gains.

๐ Update at 09:10 – 22.08.26
Michael Chora and Rachael Ferrante are back in the mix at Ada ๐
Spotted in the service park, the Subaru crew return after the last NSWRC round at Rally of the Bay and will be taking on the NSW field again, while also chasing handy East Coast Classic Rally Series 4WD points.
With Ada serving up eight gravel stages, a blind roadbook and even a bit of night rallying, this one should sort the organised from the optimistic ๐

After Classic QLD didnโt quite go to script, the Gorsts head to Noojee chasing some handy East Coast Classic Rally Series 2WD points. The Noojee Heritage Centre is the place to be today, with HQ and service park set among the trees and the first car away from here at 9:30am. A proper rally backdrop, even if the coffee gets more warm-up time than the crews.
Eight gravel stages, around 180 competitive kilometres, three NSWRC heats and stages into darkness mean this one could really shake up the points. Sullens leads, Dalton is chasing hard, Redhead is in the fight, and Stanford plus OโMalley will know thereโs plenty to play for.
Good luck to all the teams taking on Ada today ๐

๐ Update at 14:09 – 20.08.26
Hereโs how the Shamrock Haulage NSW Rally Championship stacks up heading into Ada ๐
1st Tony Sullens 117
2nd Richie Dalton 100
3rd Josh Redhead 76
With Ada split into three NSWRC heats, there are 75 points up for grabs on Saturday alone. Yep, a proper championship shaker ๐ฎโ๐จ
Sullens leads, Dalton is only 17 points back, and Redhead is still well in the fight. Then thereโs Dennis Stanford and James OโMalley lurking, with OโMalley arriving off a strong Rally of the Bay and looking ready to cash in if the points fall his way.
Add in eight gravel stages, blind roadbook notes, and stages running into darkness around Noojee… and the standings could look very different by the time the dust settles ๐๐ฅ
So, whoโs leaving Ada happiest? ๐ค

๐ Update at 13:09 – 20.08.26

Now the real sprint is on before the first Ada stage even starts. After crashes in Tasmania last weekend, both Sullens and Josh Redhead are in a flat-out race against the clock to get across Bass Strait, get the cars repaired and make it to the Draperโs Civil Contracting Ada River Rally.
With 75 NSWRC points on offer across three heats and just 10 NSWRC crews entered, simply getting to Noojee could be half the battle ๐
Championship leader Sullens has 117 points, Redhead sits third on 76, and Ada could turn the title fight on its head before the dust even settles. ๐๐จ

Follow all the action from the 2026 Draperโs Civil Contracting Ada River Rally, held in and around Noojee, Victoria on Saturday, 22 August.
The Ada River Rally brings together competitors from both New South Wales and Victoria for a demanding day of competition on the forest roads around Noojee and West Gippsland, with crews tackling a mixture of fast, technical gravel stages before the rally continues into darkness.
The event features rounds of both the Shamrock Haulage NSW Rally Championship and Victorian Rally Championship, along with the East Coast Classic Rally Series, creating a strong interstate field and plenty of competition for both outright honours and championship points.
NSW Rally Championship competitors will contest three separate heats, with up to 25 championship points available in each heat. With only 10 NSW Championship crews making the trip south, every stage could have a major impact on the title battle as Tony Sullens, Richie Dalton, Josh Redhead, Dennis Stanford, James OโMalley and the other NSW contenders fight for valuable points.
The full Ada River field will tackle eight special stages and approximately 180 kilometres of competitive rallying, with Victorian crews also firmly in the fight for the outright event victory. The blind roadbook format, long competitive distance and stages running into the night will provide a very different challenge to the previous NSW Championship round at Batemans Bay.
With championship positions on the line, some of the quickest rally crews from NSW and Victoria, a diverse field of cars and three separate NSW Championship heats to be decided, there should be plenty happening from the opening stage through to the final runs under lights.
Follow the rally right here on the Live Rally Blog for results, breaking news, stage updates, interviews, photos, videos and stories from throughout the day. Whether you are following a favourite crew, watching the NSW Championship battle unfold or keeping an eye on the interstate fight for outright honours, this is the place to stay up to date with everything happening at the 2026 Draperโs Civil Contracting Ada River Rally.
