The reserved area for rally crews and teams is good to go, complete with the media wall and plenty of room to gather before and after a big day in the Batemans Bay forests. Not a bad spot to swap stage stories… or very carefully edited versions of them.

CRS done and dusted at the 2026 Lazer Rally of the Bay ✅
Damian Nugent and Seth Nugent have taken out the CRS 4WD win in convincing fashion, heading Dennis Stanford and Luke Stanford after a flat tyre hurt their charge. Harrison Hudson and Tommi Flegl rounded out the 4WD top three.
In 2WD, Andrew Chapman and Jim Gleeson kept the streak rolling after Narooma, taking another class win. Nice way to keep the trophy shelf nervous 😄
From the board, Nugent topped the latest classification from Stanford, Hudson, Neill and Chapman.

SS6 Buckenbowra was a proper test at 29.01km, and James O’Malley was right in the mix 👀
O’Malley brought the Toyota 86 home 5th on the stage with a 17:57.7, an impressive number on one of the longer tests of the day. Not bad for a stage that gives you plenty of time to think about your life choices in the forest 🌲
At the point of SS6, the leaderboard showed Dalton on top from Hoy and Luff, with O’Malley sitting 5th overall on the stage sheets.

Follow all the action from the 2026 Lazer Rally of the Bay, held in and around Batemans Bay on Saturday, 25 July.
One of the most anticipated events on the Rally NSW calendar, the Lazer Rally of the Bay will bring together crews from across New South Wales, the ACT and beyond for a full day of competition on the fast, flowing and demanding South Coast forest roads.
The event includes the Bay Stages, Bay Ramble and RD Cup Regularity Rally, with competitors contesting rounds of the Shamrock Haulage NSW Rally Championship, East Coast Classic Rally Series, Clubman Rally Series and ACT Regional Rally Series.
The main Bay Stages field will tackle eight special stages, including Ridge Runner, Barking Highway, School of Lyons, Runnyford, Buckenbowra, Lyon of Pigs and Black River. In total, crews will face approximately 138 kilometres of competitive rallying and more than 380 kilometres of driving across the day.
With championship points on the line, some of the state’s quickest drivers, a wide variety of rally cars and several long, challenging stages, there should be plenty of action from the opening stage through to the final run of the afternoon.
