Featuring some of the best competition trucks in Central Queensland, this event has great action, extreme winch walls, a family friendly atmosphere and some great camping facilities so you can make a weekend of it.
Held in the Rockhampton District of Central Queensland, this event attracts teams from all over Queensland and is a popular event for both Drivers, Navigators and Spectators. There is always plenty of action and the courses are set to allow maximum viewing by spectators whilst still allowing the 4WD’s to be really challenged.
Round 1 is due to be an especially challenging event with quite a lot of water sitting in some of the creeks. The organisers will be sure to make the event entertaining and that probably means the water will feature in at least one of the stages. This year will also see the introduction of a single category with the removal of the Modified Class. The Open Class will be exclusive to the WTC in 2015, however competitors with Modified Class vehicles are encouraged to enter into the Open Class as their vehicles are still eligible to compete.
There has been plenty of interest in the first round for 2015 and the event organisers have capped the entries to 30 competitors only. Nominations have been steadily flowing in with Two Blind Mice, Pissed & Broke, Make Or Break, Anarchy Racing, KKB Racing, Here For Beer, Ready2Roll, General Jeep, Guru Racing, 2DR, Miss Treated, Wobbly Boot, N&H Racing, B&B, Jee-Q, BME Racing, TNT, Houndog Racing and Peak Racing all nominated.
The WTC organisers also announced Thomas Plant Hire will be the Special Stage sponsors for all 3 Rounds in 2015. Thomas Plant Hire will be providing cash prizes to the Stage winners of each of the 10 Stages at each Round. This means that there will be $100 on offer for every day stage won and a massive $250 per night stage. There is no doubt that this will see all drivers and navigators trying extra hard to not only entertain the spectators, but also win as many stages as possible to take some of that $1300 in prize money home. The prizes wouldn’t be possible without the support of Mark and Bianca from Thomas Plant Hire.
